1. About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Brasswind website and the watch repair and restoration services offered by Brasswind, located at 96 Charoen Krung Road, Bang Rak, Bangkok 10500, Thailand. By visiting our website or submitting a service enquiry, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms.

We encourage you to read through this document at your own pace. If anything is unclear, you are welcome to contact us before proceeding with any service arrangement.

2. Nature of Our Services

Brasswind provides watch repair, cleaning, and restoration services for quartz and mechanical timepieces. Our services are practical and craft-based in nature. The information on this website is provided for informational purposes and to help you understand the scope of work available.

All work is carried out by our in-house team at the workshop. We do not represent or act as agents for watch manufacturers or authorised service centres unless explicitly stated.

3. Service Enquiries and Agreements

Enquiry Process

Submitting an enquiry through our contact form does not constitute a service agreement. A service arrangement is established only when we confirm the scope of work and pricing in writing, and you agree to proceed.

Pre-Work Assessment

For certain services — particularly Case & Dial Refinishing — we carry out a pre-work assessment before any work begins. The results of this assessment and the planned steps are shared with you for review. You retain the right to decline the work at that stage without charge.

Scope Changes

If during the course of a service we identify additional work that may benefit the timepiece, we will contact you to discuss options before proceeding. No additional work is carried out without your explicit agreement.

4. Pricing and Payment

Service prices are listed on our website in Thai Baht (฿) and are indicative of our standard service scope. The final price for your specific piece will be confirmed after an initial assessment, as condition and complexity can vary.

Payment is due upon collection of the completed timepiece. We reserve the right to adjust pricing where the scope of work differs materially from what was initially assessed, and will always notify you of any such change before proceeding.

5. Intake and Handling of Your Timepiece

When you bring a watch to our workshop, we create an intake record describing the piece and its condition on arrival. Photographs may be taken as part of this record. This documentation is for the benefit of both parties and forms part of the service agreement.

We take all reasonable care of timepieces in our possession. However, we ask that you do not bring pieces with pre-existing damage, missing parts, or known faults that you have not disclosed at intake. Accurate intake information helps us plan the service correctly.

6. Turnaround and Collection

Turnaround times are estimates and may vary depending on parts availability, the complexity of the work, and workshop volume. We will communicate with you throughout the process and notify you promptly when your timepiece is ready for collection.

If a completed piece is not collected within 60 days of notification, we may apply a storage fee. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you before doing so.

7. Limitations of Service

Watch repair involves working with delicate mechanical and electronic components, some of which may be aged, worn, or fragile. While we take every care in our work, we cannot make assurances about the long-term performance of any timepiece, particularly older or heavily worn pieces.

We document our work stage by stage and will advise you honestly if a piece presents challenges that may affect the outcome. Our role is to share information so that you can make an informed decision — not to make promises about results.

8. Parts and Components

Where replacement parts are needed, we will use appropriate components and discuss options with you where there is a meaningful choice. For heritage and vintage pieces, we prioritise approaches that respect the original character of the movement and case.

Parts sourced for your specific piece that are not used due to a change in scope may be subject to a restocking note in your service documentation.

9. Warranty on Workshop Work

Brasswind stands behind the quality of its work. If a fault attributable to our service is identified within 90 days of collection, please contact us to discuss. We will review the matter and, where the fault is reasonably attributable to our work, address it at no additional charge.

This applies to the specific work performed. It does not extend to faults unrelated to our service, damage caused after collection, or issues arising from normal wear and use.

10. Website Use

The content on this website is provided for informational purposes. We make reasonable efforts to keep information current and accurate, but we do not warrant that all details — including pricing, availability, or service descriptions — are free from error at all times.

You may browse, read, and share links to our website. You may not reproduce, copy, or use our content, images, or text for commercial purposes without written permission.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on the Brasswind website, including text, photographs, and design elements, is the property of Brasswind unless otherwise noted. Third-party brand names and watch manufacturer references are used for descriptive purposes only and do not imply any affiliation or endorsement.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted under Thai law, Brasswind's liability in connection with any service is limited to the value of the service performed. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses arising from the use of our services or website.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for matters that cannot be excluded under applicable Thai consumer protection law.

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Thailand. Any matters arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Thai courts.

14. Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review these terms periodically. Continued use of our website or services after any changes are posted constitutes your acknowledgement of the updated terms.
